Legend Pre Workout supplement is the second product we are reviewing from the new Jay Cutler Elite Series brand. Initially we here @NewestSupps weren’t going to review the product so close to the release date, mainly because the competition in the pre workout category is insane this summer. You got the new Assault, Psycho and Pre Jym that just got released to name a few. So with those top of the line products, could the new Legend pre workout really compete? Well after looking around online and seeing that it was getting a 9/10 rating on Bodybuiling.com, we decided to give it a try and have one of our tester share his experience with the new pre workout supplement.
Before we get into the review part of the supplement, lets give you a little bit of an overview. It is a proprietary blend called Legend Matrix 3040mg with Creatine,Beta Alanine, L- Arginine, L-Carnitine and Caffeine ( As much as 2 cups of coffee per serving). It is also a Zero sugar, very low carb and calories supplement, with a 1 scoop(5g) serving size. It is currently available in two flavors(Blue Raspberry and Fruit Punch), and is directed to mix 1 scoop with about 8 ounces of liquid half hour before you hit the gym.
Like most new products, Legend pre workout supplement is promising to boost energy, power, endurance, builds muscle and will get you overall stronger. Our first glance at the product was doubtful because of the serving size, with only 5 grams serving size, it is hard to pack in all the ingredients that make up a good supplement. But we don’t judge the book by the cover, so we had a tester give it a try, and his review is below.
I tried the Blue Raspberry flavor, and it was pretty good taste, you can taste the flavoring, there’s no synthetic flavor and after taste. I can say it’s one of the better tasting pre workout supplements I have tried.
Mixes fine but there is a little foam and grittiness. I didn’t mind it but I know some people are picky about things like that. Mix it a bit every time you take a sip, just to insure there’s no settlement at the bottom.
I gotta start off with pointing out that I am usually pretty tolerant to stimulants, but this gave me a jittery feeling, nothing crazy but I would notice it. It has lot’s of caffeine so the energy boost is there, about 15 minutes after you take it. I had a solid pump going throughout my 2 hour session, and after few days of taking I noticed a little increase in my bench overall. I think where Legend pre workout shined for me is endurance, you will be able to lift and keep going, I think for this reason alone I would give this supplement another run. I think it does what it’s supposed to, little jitter and stomach nausea at times but it’s nothing I couldn’t handle. No crash after which was huge for me!
Basically 1$ a serving, with 28 servings in a tub. I was fine with one scoop a day, so for me value was ok. I would pay for it again.
I think overall Elite Series Legend is a solid pre-workout supplement, only thing is the little bit of jittery feeling and the grittiness when mixed. I would recommend this if you are looking to try something new, but it’s not going to be a miracle worker. With hard work at the gym this should give you results, also check out our top 10 new pre-workout supplements list for more options.
