So I asked around from one big guy to the next and bought up pricey stuff which didn’t really get me results. Then I asked myself “what if they’re not taking the right nutrition?”. All these things we trial and error that thought me a lesson , and later I found out most huge guys at the gym are on steroids haha. With steroids not being an option for me, I started to learn about supplements.

Pick and choose to fit your  needs. Every category on the list will be linked to what we feel are the top products used today.

Protein

To build muscle, protein could be the most important supplement. Why?Because muscles are made up of protein and you need to consume protein to set up building blocks and grow. With so many choices out therw, type of protein you pick will depend on preference, your wallet, and goals. So, if you want to put onsome weight , ideal product for you would be a weight gainer. For getting leaner use a weight loss protein.

Carbohydrates

Next to protein, carbohydrates are needed for performance and energy, and prevention of fatigue. Waxy maize starch and long chain maltodextrin are ideal during the day. They prevent protein from being burn as energy, and can also help build muscle. Take simple and fast digesting carbs post-workout to spike anabolic effect. Carbs are easily paired with protein  for muscle gains. Example of a weight gainer right there.

Pre-Workout Supplements

Using a pre-workout supplement before the gym will help you workout longer and harder, and achieve your goals quicker. Ideal use is to stack it woth a protein powder and a carbs meal/supplement for best results, as many early on make mistakes on only getting the pre-workout and forgeting the most important part of supplementing, the post nutrition . Main beneficial ingredients in a solid product of pre-workouts are beta-alanine, citrulline, and caffeine.

Creatine one of the best known supplements for increasing strength and muscle mass. It greatly increases and rebuilds ATP levels, so you can lift more and longer.
